Smoking cigarettes
I'm a smoker and I'm aware, as all of other smokers certainly are, it's a health hazard.
What do you think, are the risks as big as they say? I've been smoking for more then 15 years. I don't abuse the bottle, nor take drugs.. I think I'll stick with my addiction. |

RE: Smoking cigarettes
As with any toxin, there is harm.. I smoked for about 6 years. not too long, and I still occasionally have one when I partake in Alcoholic beverages... The best thing would be to cut em out entirely (duh) but since that can be difficult, I just recommend including more things to compensate. I go by the its what you include to your diet what matters...
You could take more anti-Oxs, or lung specific vitamins.. Granted supplements will only get you so far... Id recommend a diet with a lot more Omega-3s, Leafy Greens, Whole Grains, Mucho Fiber etc... |

RE: Smoking cigarettes
I've been looking into it yes. Since i realize I'm not about to entirely quit, I do try to keep myself otherwise healthy, by regular exercise and good diet.
I have done a lot of study on healthy diet and avoid big supermarkets for my own health. Luckily, I have family in the country, so I have a good source of *pure* food ![]() I know a lot of my friends gave up smoking cause they were in terrible shape, couldn't climb stairs etc. Unfortunately some of them just got really fat and instead of smoking chew on something. My grandpa was a lifelong smoker (and a revolutionary ! ) and he died at the age of 93

Well, I belive that smokers know what they are doing and it's their choice. They decide when to start and they decide when to quit. I smoke for almost 2 years on and off, but now I'm glad to say that I have no urge to smoke and that I am a none smoker. My dad has it easy too, he is like me, he starts smoking and then when he grows tired, he stops. I know that it isn't as easy for others, but if you ask my opinion, it might be hard, but it's best to quit.

RE: Smoking cigarettes
Wow, that seems pretty cool! I love cigars, but rarely smoke them. Usually just roll ups. Luckily I'm not the type to get really addicted to things...
Keep meaning to try Camels, because they're what Mao smoked and you know, he's like, the coolest smoker of all time. |

RE: Smoking cigarettes
I just never really got to appeal to smoke. I think the whole act is pretty conformist anyways.

RE: Smoking cigarettes
no meter what type of drug you use, it will make problems to your health eventually... and well it will make your life shorter because the drugs give a harm for ever so, you will never be able to cure your self, so it's is better to stop smoking how soon as possible and remember that each cigarette takes off some hours or some days from your life and so if you're interested in living as perfect normal human than you should respect your body because it's your self, if you don't than the body wont respect you...kinda logic and not that hard thing to understand and well it also degradates peoples mind, only no one can't see the change of your personality... also smoking makes your teeth yellow and your lungs are being destroyed and there is a risk of getting a cancer and that ill be too late... and so there isn't importance of using drugs... also those who say that it makes you relax, that actually isn't true it makes you feel that you are relaxed but actually drugs make your body ask more and more so you will feel thaat you need more, and not that you feel tired but your body is addicted to it and will make you feel tired so you use more drugs until it will be destroyed... and people who can't find a real way how to relax them self than they aren't normal people.!

Yeah lets all give malborough and L&B our money, so they can A, kill us, whu=ich in America means paying out money for medical treatment, never mind the boost to the capitalist tobacco industry, if you dont have the strengh to quit, how can you be strong enough to fight for revolution, withstand pigs beating you in a cell, all smokers need to get a fucking grrip on themselves, i smoked for 4 years, when i became the evil commie i am today, i quit on the spot and threw my cigs away, not smoked since.

RE: Smoking cigarettes
I have been around a lot of smokers and I can tell you: a chronic cough, constantly having no pocket money, getting wrinkles before you're old, and having tobacco stained teeth are not worth being skinny. It doesn't make you attractive at all, even to other smokers.

RE: Smoking cigarettes
That's true!! Smoking never let you to be in good shape. It gives invitation to lungs disease, heart problems and also bad breath. Those who smoke, should give up smoking. And those who don't never try.

RE: Smoking cigarettes
I believe in quit smoking..Smoking,I think that is really a bad addiction.Chances are that about one in three smokers who do not stop eventually die because of their smoking. Some people die at the age of 40 years, while others will die later. Everyone knows that smoking is harmful and addictive, but few people realise how risk and dependence, it is.

RE: Smoking cigarettes
I think in all reality though what is there to go after with that extra time. If it's an out that keeps you going it might be worth those 20 or 30 years that could be pretty miserable anyway.
