I would say Strategy. Further, Turn Based Stratagey. I feel TBS has more actual strategy than RTS, where RTS are generally more micromanagement and build-orders. However I enjoy both.
I also enjoy team based first person shooters and role playing games.
I always preferred TBS, HOMM comes to mind

One real time strategy I simply adored was "Settlers 1" and that was maaany summers ago
My favorite genre? Hmm, I'm old school - point n' click

First Person Shooting obviously.
Every genre has its gems.
I love RTS games, and not because I enjoy micromanagement (I don't) but because usually the computer players are really stupid so I can enjoy just taking over all of the resources on a map and charging the CPU players with a massive army well larger than necessary and laugh about it.
Men Of War is the only good RTS. Generally, FPS is where it's at for me, for some reason.
TBS and CRPG, the latter genre has been sadly neglected in recent years
RTS are my fav i love mircomanagement idk waht your guys problem is and shooters 3rd or 1st are the best lcause ct and GOW2 bring out the brutal tactial killing machine in everyone, ORPGs really bring out the creativity im me though
I mostly like strategy, but all others are good also... all depends how good the game is...
RTS and FPS for me, but there are exceptions to this rule very often.
According to me the best genre is the RPG.
Really recently I have been having RPG cravings, but my heart still belongs to Strategy.
